Magaj or Magdal Recipe

Magaj or Magdal Gujarati Recipe …

  1. 500gm Mung Been Flour (Fine) for Magdal / Besan for Magaj
  2. 250gm Sugar
  3. 50gm Khoya
  4. 10 Almonds Scrapped
  5. 10 Pistachios Scrapped
  6. 2 Spoon Green Cardamom Powder
  7. 250gm Ghee

  1. Mix Mung Been Flour or Besan with 125gm Ghee, Mix them well.
  2. Heat remaining Ghee in pan, with slow flame of gas stove.
  3. Pour sifted Mung Been Flour in to heating Ghee, keep stirring.
  4. Add Khoya in heating mixture, stir continuously at low flame.
  5. Add Sugar, Scrapped Almonds and Pistachios, Green Cardamom Powder into it.
  6. Stir continuously and heat it till the mixture turn golden brown in color
  7. Turn of gas stove.
  8. Pour it into a plate greased with Ghee.
  9. Let it cool down for 15 minutes.
  10. Cut into squares when still it’s warm.
  11. Cool it further for 30 minutes.

Magaj is ready to serve.
