After thumping win of Narendra Modi in General Election 2014 he is set to be a new Prime Minister of India. It’s obvious that he is going to resign from the post of CM of Gujarat; this leads vacant space for the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat.
On 20th May 2014 BJP Gujarat has announced a new Chief Minister of Gujarat and it’s as expected Shrimati Anandiben Mafatbhai Patel. A proud moment for Gujarat that we have got first woman Chief Minister, After the State after constitution of Gujarat State (i.e. since 1960).
Anandiben Patel born on 21st November 1941 (Age 72 Years), belongs to Leua Patel community from North Gujarat. and She is the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad seat of Gujarat. She first became Minister in Gujarat Government in 1998 as Education Minister in the under the Keshubhai Patel as a CM of Gujarat. Before that she was Principle of Mohiniba Vidhyalay, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad. She had worked for about 30 years in same school.
Just before becoming CM she was Revenue Minister (Cabinet Minister) in Narendra Modi Government in Gujarat. She is considered to be second powerful minister in cabinet after Narendra Modi. She is known for her toughness about taking decisions and performance.
